Why no FIR was filed for missing coal file, Says SC

The Supreme Court today slammed the CBI for the 'slow pace' of its probe into the coal allocation scam. It also chastised the investigative authority for the missing files linked to the allocation of coal blocks to private parties at throwaway prices.
The Apex Court asked the Govt- "Why was no FIR filed for the missing documents? You can't sit over documents which must be provided to the CBI."
The CBI had said it had not received crucial files from the government to investigate 13 FIRs or police complaints it had filed in the case.
