The fall in the value of rupee against dollar, has busted dreams of numerous Indians.
In the past one year, the rupee has gone from 55 to 67 against the dollar. The worst part is that the free fall will continue for sometime and the Government is still looking for ways to shore up the rupee.
The effects will be seen in increase in fiscal deficit, hike in prices of petroleum products, hike in interest rates. Foreign travel will become expensive and cost of living for Indian studying abroad will also increase. Consumer electronics and lifestyle goods will also be dearer. Inflation will continue to push and critically availability of jobs will decrease.
