VHP Yatra: Inauguration of Kosi Yatra fizzles out

The Sunday launch of VHP's Chaurasi Kosi Yatra fizzled out spectacularly, as the Uttar pradesh government had arrested senior VHP leaders and seers, ensuring that round one belonged to them.
The government, which had banned the yatra, was in no mood to relent and said that the security arrangements would be in place till at-least September 13, the culmination day of the yatra. More than 2000 arrests have been made but no violence has been reported.
