Telangana State: Telugu Desam workers protest outside Vijayawada police station

Protests against carving out a separate state of Telangana have been intensifying.
Vijayawada police have foiled the attempt of TDP MLAs, Malladi Vishnu and Devineni Rajasekhar, to hold an indefinite fast. They have been spearheading the movement against the division of Andhra Pradesh.
Tension rises in Vijayawada as TDP workers stage a dharna in front of the police station, where the duo are kept. Police say no fast would be allowed in view of the election code ahead of the by polls.
