Water Resources Ministry tells NGT no permission was given for Art of Living event

The Ministry of Water Resources informed National Green Tribunal (NGT) today that it has not granted permission for ‘World Cultural Festival’ scheduled from March 11 to 13. The event is organised by Art of Living foundation. World Culture Festival organised by Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar rocked Parliament today, with opposition members attacking the government for permitting an event that threatens the fragile Yamuna ecosystem as well as for allowing Indian Army soldiers to be used as "private mercenaries" for the mega show.
