News X: Janta party chief Subramanian Swamy joins BJP

NewsX: Ahead of 2014 General Election, Janta Party president Subramanian Swamy on Sunday joined the BJP. The merger was formally announced by BJP chief Rajnath Singh after Swamy, a former Commerce and Law Minister during Chandra Shekhar's Government, met the former at his Delhi-based residence.

BJP president Rajnath Singh welcomed Swamy's joining the BJP and said, "I believe this will benefit the party."
