News X: Crackdown on unauthorized use of red beacon

News X: SC comes down heavily on misuse of beacon lights and multi tone horns on roads. SC says, no one apart from High ranking dignitaries, ambulance, police and military. SC calls the misuse a "menace to the society" SC says violators need to be dealt with a heavy hand. And fined. UP submits that within April to June 500 hooters, 150 red lights were removed. And the removal drive continues. SC asks all states to compile a list of all VIPs who are assigned red lights.
