Lodha committee proposes sweeping reforms for BCCI

From the recomposition of the BCCI’s core council to cleaving the IPL from the Indian cricket body, the recommendations announced by the RM Lodha Committee on Monday were aimed at a better functioning and streamlined cricketing governance.
Announcing its recommendations on Monday, the Supreme-Court appointed panel dictated that ministers and government officials be barred from holding office in the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) which will have only one full member per state with voting rights – the others will be affiliate units.
