Congress left red-faced after Mumbai mouthpiece criticises Nehru, Sonia Gandhi

An embarrassed Congress on Monday promised 'corrective measures' after its mouthpiece criticised party chief Sonia Gandhi and questioned former prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru over his stand on Kashmir and Tibet. Articles published in the Hindi edition of this month’s ‘Congress Darshan’ reportedly said Sonia Gandhi’s father was a member of the fascist forces in Italy and that she became the Congress president 62 days after becoming a party member in 1997.

Senior Congress leaders Manish Tewari said the party will look into the matter.
