NewsX: The sports ministry has recommended Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand for the highest Civilian honour Bharat Ratna. This is the 1st time a sportsperson has been nominated for this great honour.

The sports ministry has chosen the hockey magician over the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
