NewsX: Iron pills leave kids ill in Delhi

NewsX: In the national capital, 21 children all aged between 9 to 17 years, were rushed to hospitals after they were consumed iron and folic acid tablets during a government drive against anaemia.
Children complained of severe stomach ache, nausea and vomiting. The health department then said that these are common side effects of the supplement and are found in about one per cent cases. Sources told Newsx that after 18 lakh pills were given by the government, around 200 students across Delhi were ill and many did not need hospitalization. Police have also registered a case of negligence and 'act of endangering lives'.
