Food Bill : Sonia Gandhi calls CLP meet

NewsX: After defying the opposition on taking the ordinance route. Congress now has set out on publicising the food bill, with an eye on the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha polls.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi, for whom the project is a pet one, has called for a meeting of CLP leaders and PCC Chiefs on July 13 to discuss the scheme. This is in addition to the formation of state wise dedicated teams to implement the scheme.
The Congress has also formed a three-member panel comprising Prem Chandra Mishra, Randeep Singh Surjewaala and Mukesh Naik to to propagate the scheme, which has come to be billed as the World's largest Social Welfare Programme.
