IFFCO-Mitsubishi launches range of Agrochemical Products

World’s largest producer and marketer of fertilisers, IFFCO today launched it’s recently incorporated agrochemicals joint venture, IFFCO-MC Crop Science Ltd., a JV between IFFCO and Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan. The product launch, which took place at IFFCO Sadan, IFFCO’s corporate office at New Delhi, saw the unveiling of its complete range of 18 pesticides, herbicides & fungicides (refer attached annexure).
The Shri Balvinder Singh Nakai, Chairman-IFFCO, did the product launch along with other members of the IFFCO board through live video conferencing in 10 states namely Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Top officials of Mitsubishi Corporation were also present at launch. A farmer from Haryana, Shri Surinder Singh purchased first bottle of herbicide GENKI at Chandigarh.
Speaking at the press conference on the occasion, the Managing Director of IFFCO, Dr. U.S Awasthi said, “ IFFCO has always strived hard to provide quality agro inputs to the farmers in India. With the launch of IFFCO-MC, we would be able to satisfy the ever growing demand of our farmers & member cooperatives to provide them with high quality agrochemicals best suited for Indian farming conditions.” He further added that IFFCO as a partner will focus more on the quality of the products and it’s availability to farmers through cooperative channel only. He also shared that IFFCO Service Centers for the farmers will also sell the products.
Shri Nakai, Chairman, IFFCO added that IFFCO will educate farmers more on balanced use of fertilisers & Integrated pest management.
