Ahead of the Independence Day celebrations on August 15 and in the wake of the Gurdaspur terror attack, New Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) have been put on high alert with a heavy security deployment. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has issued an alert to the Delhi Police about a possible terror attack in the national capital on August 15, reports said on Tuesday.According to the IB, 10 Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, headed by outfit commander Maqbool Khan, are trying to infiltrate into India from Jammu border region, allegedly with the help of Pakistan Rangers and the ISI. The attack is suspected to be a backlash against the Yakub Memon's death verdict, scheduled on July 30. The terror attack is reportedly code named "Operation Lal Quila" and is said to be planned for the 69th Independence Day.
