IPL Spot Fixing : Bookies arrested across India

NewsX: In a major crackdown on bookies carrying on illegal betting in India, police have raided several places and made arrests. In Goa as many as 6 persons were arrested while in Pune 2 others were held.
In the raids in other places, 8 bookies were arrested in Mumbai, five in Kanpur and nine from Ghaziabad. 1 bookie, has been taken into police custody from Greater Noida.
The bookie, Bhupinder Nagar, was the 4th bookie who Ajit Chandila was in touch with.
In fact, sources in Mumbai Crime branch tell us that they are on the verge of issuing summons to a hotelier from Chennai who is under the scanner.for having links with the betting syndicate, as well as with arrested actor Vindoo and tainted CSK boss Gurunath Meiyappan.
