Rape charge on IPS officer who filed complaint against Mulayam

A charge of rape was filed against IPS officer Amitabh Thakur at a police station in the Uttar Pradesh capital on

Sunday, a day after he filed a complaint against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening

him.

The FIR, filed in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar police station, named Thakur as an accused in a rape case.
