SC refuses to entertain CBI's plea over its autonomy

NewsX: The Supreme Court today refused to entertain the petition filed by some CBI officers seeking directions to GoM to consider the parliamentary committee report on making CBI an independent body. The officers had alleged that the Govt is hurriedly making provisions to reduce Govt interference in CBI, but the parliamentary committee earlier has already laid down such guidelines giving details of recruitment and promotion etc. and the GoM should consider this report. The Supreme Court however refused to hear the petition saying it cannot interfere and direct GoM.
