A meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah on Thursday night has changed the course of the party's position on handling the raging Lalit Modi controversy with regard to the alleged inappropriate conduct of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her son Dushyant Singh. Defending External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Raje but gunning for ex-Indian Premier League chairman Lalit Modi seems to be the new government strategy to overcome the allegations of impropriety against the two senior leaders.
