Hourse after his arrest in fake degree case, Jitender Singh on Tuesday stepped down as law minister of Delhi, sending his resignation to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. According to an AAP spokesperson, Tomar doesn’t want this issue to affect party’s or government’s image. Earlier, the arrest of Tomar on charges of fraud and cheating further escalated tensions between the central and state governments, with Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia accusing Delhi Police of carrying out a “political vendetta”.
