NEW DELHI: Fissures within the Aam Aadmi party were out in the open on Monday after reports that Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal wanted senior leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan removed from the party's National Executive.

The matter snowballed after Yadav cancelled a meeting in Chandigarh and reportedly offered to quit. Party spokesperson Ashutosh in a tweet said,"There is decisive churning in AAP. It's clash of ideas between ultra left who demand referendum in Kashmir and pragmatic politics of welfarism."

Yadav, the moderate face of the party, however dismissed reports of rift, calling it a conspiracy. "Since the last two days, there have been news about me and Prashant Bhushan. Baseless allegations are being made, conspiracy is been found. Sometimes I laugh and sometimes I feel upset, those who have created such stories have less time and more imagination. I feel upset and sad with such stories. After this big a win, we need to set aside the petty things and work with a big heart," he tweeted.
