Yashwant Sinha, Shivraj Singh Chauhan dropped from new BJP core team
  • 5 years ago
Interestingly, Modi is the only Chief Minister to be included in the new team of office-bearers. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has not been included in the team. Despite Chauhan seen a rising star among saffronites, lack of berth came in the way of his retention. As per BJP rules, only 12 members can be part of the Parliamentary Board. Senior party leader Yashwant Sinha too has been left out. Sinha, known to speak his mind had upset RSS. The RSS wanted a second term for Nitin Gadkari as BJP president, but corruption charges and a strong campaign led by Yashwant Sinha and Jaswant Singh forced Gadkari's exit in January.
