China's response over Brahmaputra unclear

The much awaited bilateral talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chinese President Xi Jinping took place on the margins of the BRICS summit. Sources say Manmohan Singh brought up the issue of damming Brahmaputra waters. However, its not clear as to how China responded. This is the first structured high-level contact between the two countries since the change of leadership in China.
