In an astonishing case of vengeance, 5 rouge MLAs from Maharastra beat up an Assistant Police inspector, Sachin Suryavanshi, inside the state assembly. The assault by teh MLAs left the inspector badly injured and has been shifted to a hospital. The chain of events that led to today's assault began on Monday when MLA Kshitij Thakur was fined by the API Sachin Suryawanshi for rash driving. An altercation occurred and strong words were exchanged by the two. This incident was filmed and relayed in the assembly today. Enraged by the API's 'behaviour' the MLAs summoned the inspector and decided to take law into their own hands. IPS officers under the leadership of Maharashtra's DGP Sanjeev Dayal met Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan protesting the incident.
