Lanka row: DMK pulls back, MPs to resign by Thursday

DMK blinks and UPA II breathes easy. After threatening to withdraw support from the UPA government this morning, the DMK now reconsiders says its party ministers will now be resigning by Thursday instead of this evening, while every other channel had called it a pull out. NewsX was the only one who said that this is just another empty threat from Karunanidhi. DMK's backtracking gives credence to opposition allegations that Karunanidhi was only putting pressure on UPA and had no intentions to withdraw support.
