Punjab: Cop pushes man's face in coal furnace

It's not yet one week since the Supreme Court took strong exception of recent incidents of police beating protesting contractual teachers in Bihar and a girl in Tarn Taran in Punjab that another incident of alleged police brutality has surfaced in Punjab's Amritsar district. And this time it involves not just beating but a raging hot furnace. The conduct of Punjab police is once again under the scanner as a man another man has allegedly been brutalised by a cop for not coughing up a demanded sum. The angry cop then allegedly thrashed the man and pushed his face into a burning hot furnace.
