Delhi Police chief Bassi: Uber cabbie’s certificate fake

The Delhi Police on Monday denied that they had issued any "character certificate" to the Uber cab driver Shiv Kumar Yadav arrested on suspicion of raping a 27-year-old woman in south Delhi on Friday night. Delhi Police commissioner BS Bassi issued a statement that the certificate is fake. He also said the officer whose signed the certificate is not even posted in the city.Earlier on Monday, Delhi Police came under scanner for giving a clean character certificate to Yadav.
