The 13-day-old BJP government headed by Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday won the confidence motion in Maharashtra assembly by a voice vote, amid protests by former ally Shiv Sena.With the BJP's Haribhau Bagde elected Speaker of Maharashtra Assembly unopposed, the minority BJP government won its first major test on the day it also faces the trust vote, expected later on Wednesday.The BJP managed the Speaker's post after the Shiv Sena, which has declared that it is going to vote against their estranged partner in the Assembly, and the Congress withdrew their candidates for the post.
