Cauvery row: SC asks Karnataka to release 2.44 TMC water

Supreme Court asks Karnataka to release 2.44 TMC of Cauvery water forthwith. This order came after the Committee appointed by SC filed its report after visiting the delta region to see the need for standing crop. Brushing aside the objections of Tamilnadu, court said, according to you, whatever you say should be accepted as gospel truth and the order be passed accordingly. Court's observation came in the wake of Tamilnadu objecting to expert committee report saying it was not based on objective grounds.
