Karnataka: Shettar govt 'hanging by a thread'
The Jagadish Shettar Government in Karnataka is surviving on the strength of just one extra MLA. All eyes are now on the presentation of the budget on Friday. That could test the government's very survival itself. Yedyurappa's party the KJP has thrown an open challenge to BJP government. Stating that it won't be able to pass the budget. But so far the Shettar Government has disregarded the threat. While the BJP wants to present a fully fledged budget and lauch its election agenda, the Oppn is in no mood to accommodate. What they want is vote on account to take care of govt's expenditure till June this year. This would enable the new govt to sanction new budget. The elections in the state are due in May.
