A 20-year-old girl student struggling for her life at Bilaspur-based Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Science, the victim has allegedly consumed pesticide to commit suicide. She was allegedly gangraped at Akaltara town in Chhattisgarh a year ago and blackmailed ever since then by the accused. The incident came to light two days ago, when the victim's sister dared to disclose it before the media. Their father was in denial mode fearing an attack by goons. The victim's sister alleges that the victim was driven to suicide by police apathy. Police refused to file her complaint and wanted to compromise in lieu money. The police deny these charges of course.
