Punjab: 29-year-old abducted on minibus

In what comes across as yet another rape shocker much like the damini case. Six men have been accused of allegedly raping a 29-year old woman in Punjab. The woman boarded a minibus in Gurdaspur returning to her husband's home when the driver Daler singh and conductor Ravi abducted her. She was allegedly not allowed to alight at her village and instead was taken 22 kms away from her destination to gurdaspur. She was forcibly taken on a bike to an isolated location where 5 other friends of the main suspects joined them and then gangraped her. Police say that 6 of the suspects have been apprehended and a hunt is on for one more, what's more shocking is the callousness and insensitivity displayed by Punjab Cops. In a press note released to media, the rape victim's name was revealed putting law at bay.
