The newly-elected Congress government in Himachal Pradesh has ordered an inquiry into the allotment of land to Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev and social activist Prashant Bhushan in Himachal Pradesh on lease. Sources said if violations are found in the allotment, then it could be cancelled. The prime land was leased out for one-time payment of over Rs 17 lakh and annual token lease money of Re 1 crore. Congress leaders had alleged that land was actually valued around 35-40 crore rupees.
