MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi to surrender today

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi is to surrender before police today. Owaisi's whose hate speech against a particular community sent out shockwaves, reached India from London in the wee hours today. A senior police official had said his statement would be recorded in the cases against him. On Saturday, the Andhra Pradesh DGP said Owaisi informed police that he was undergoing treatment in London and would appear before it shortly. Notices were issued against Owaisi on Friday and he was directed to appear before police in Adilabad district on Monday, as well as the Nizambad II Town police on Tuesday.
