A major fire broke out in the IOC plant at Hajira port in Surat. Indian Oil Corporation has storage tanks there. Hazira facility of IOC has nine storage tanks, five of petrol and four of diesel. One of the tanks caught fire this afternoon, and it spread. 12 fire tenders have been rushed to the spot. IOC and Hazira Disaster Management teams are also present to handle the crisis.
