PM Narendra Modi announces Rs 1,000 crore aid for Jammu and Kashmir

Declaring the Jammu and Kashmir floods as "national level disaster", Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced Rs 1,000 crore as special assistance for rehabilitation while sharing the pain and anguish of the people of the state. He made the annoucement in Srinagar after undertaking a visit to the state for first hand information of the situation which has turned grim resulting in the death of over 130 people.
