Meanwhile, the 23-year-old gangrape victim is still battling for life in New Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital. The victim has severe genital, abdominal and head injuries. Doctors treating her were appaled by the extent of the injuries. Doctors say it will take another 48 hours to confirm if the victim is out of danger. But the good news is that she is conscious and is able to communicate by scribbling. Police say, both the girl and her male friend,were assaulted with an iron rod by the men operating the bus. Police have already recovered the weapon of assault, that is the iron rod.
