Zee extortion case: Subhash Chandra, son not to be arrested till Dec 20 - NewsX

In an update in the Naveen Jindal extortion case. A Delhi court today granted interim protection from arrest to Zee Group chairman Subhash Chandra and his son and MD Puneet Goenka. The duo cannot be arrested until December 20, which is the next date for hearing of their anticipatory bail plea. Chandra was questioned by the Delhi Police on Sunday in connection with the alleged Rs 100 crore extortion bid from Congress MP Naveen Jindal's company and denied any knowledge about the deal being worked out by his men. A Delhi court on Monday December 10th sent the two Zee journalists to judicial custody till Dec 22.
