Gujarat polls: BJP fields no Muslim candidate - NewsX

After all the Sadbhavana Yatras and other such activities that the Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi undertook to build confidence in the Muslim minority voters. It seems Modi does not really care because BJP has not fielded a single Muslim candidate in its list of 84 candidates in Gujarat. The reason for the step is that rival and ex-BJP man Keshubhai Patel and his new party GPP has not fielded a Muslim candidate either. And Modi apparently does not want to forsake the surefire Hindu vote bank to the benefit of Keshubhai Patel.
