Visakhapatnam: India's first indigenously-built stealth Anti-Submarine Warfare Corvette 'INS Kamorta' was on Saturday inducted into the Indian Navy.

INS Kamorta was commissioned at Naval Dockyard here this morning by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley.

Speaking on the occasion, Jaitley said, “I am sure INS Kamorta will serve this country effectively for a very long time.”

"Our effective preparedness is always the best guarantee for peace in this region. Our armed forces have been effectively discharging that function," given that India is in the midst of a disturbed neighbourhood.
