Another non-BJP CM booed at PM Modi's event, Jharkhand CM's speech interrupted
  • 5 years ago
It happened yet again. At an event in Ranchi, supporters of the Prime Minister raised pro-Narendra Modi slogans forcibly interrupting Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren's speech. PM Modi was sharing the dais with the Jharkhand CM at an inaugural event of a project of Power Grid Corporation of India in Ranchi.

Soren had urged the crowd to remain calm as a serious issue was being discussed but they did not pay heed to his request. When the crowd refused to relent, PM Modi was forced to intervene. He raised his hand and asked the crowd to stop chanting. However, even when the PM was delivering his speech, the crowd continued chanting the pro-Modi slogans loudly.

Speaking at the event, the PM said that the government is being able to take quick decisions because of the massive mandate that the government has got. "We are able to fulfil our promises as we have been elected with full majority and have chosen a stable government," Modi said.
