FDI: Mayawati's nod to FDI boosts Sensex - NewsX

The BSE Sensex recovered 300 points from the day's low on Thursday after BSP leader Mayawati decided to support foreign direct investment (FDI) in multi-brand retail in Rajya Sabha. This was the third straight day of gain for markets. The Sensex ended 95 points or 0.5 per cent higher at 19,487 while the broader Nifty gained 30 points to close at 5,931. The rupee hit a one-month high of 54.08.
