Ignored by govt, Kargil martyr's father moves SC - NewsX

The father of a Kargil war martyr has made an emotional appeal to the supreme court to intervene in his son's death . Dr N.K. Kalia, father of Captain Saurabh Kalia, has asked the court to direct the Centre to take up his son's case at the international judicial forum. Captain Saurabh Kalia was made captive and subjected to brutal torture by the Pakistani Army in 1999. Dr Kalia says the Centre has not acted on his representations to ask the International Court of Justice to take up his case . He has asked the Ministry of External Affairs and Home Affairs to expose the brutal torture that resulted in Saurabh and his fellow soldier's deaths.
