According to reports the pitch curator at Kolkata's Eden Gardens has been sidelined after he refused to prepare a rank turner for the third Test against England. CAB Joint secretary Sujan Mukherjee refuted media reports. However he confirmed that the BCCI curator in charge of eastern zone would visit Eden Garden and inspect pitch. Prabir Mukherjee, a veteran pitch curator has prepared pitches for 14 Tests in the past. According to some reports he has been replaced by Ashish Bhowmick of the Tripura Cricket Association, who is also a member of the BCCI's Pitches Committee.
