A 15-year-old girl from Siwan, Bihar who suffered severe burn injuries in an acid attack is battling for life at the burns unit of Safdarjung Hospital. The girl who was allegedly attacked by her classmates, has suffered loss of vision in one eye and damage to other body parts including the face and ears. Doctors say that the victim would have to undergo multiple surgeries. "The acid attack took place on September 26. She was going for her tuition classes when a boy threw acid on her face. Later, when she fell down from cycle she was riding, he poured the chemical at her back too," said Mohammad Arif, the victim's father.
