A CPM delegation is visiting the Birbhum district today to take stock of the situation after Tuesday's violence in the area. Residents say the situation is still tense in the district, despite the Bengal Government ordering an inquiry. The government has asked the SP of Birbhum, Rishikesh Meena to go on leave till the investigation is completed. State industry minister Partha Chatterjee also visited the area.
