Dengue cases in the capital hits 1,057; 2 dead - NewsX

The dengue horror in the capital mounts and mounts with 38 more people testing positive on Thursday. The number of cases in Delhi alone has gone up to a shocking 1,057.Two children have so far succumbed to dengue this season. Another death of a 40 year old woman is yet to be confirmed. Reports say the maximum of 392 cases have been reported from posh South Delhi. But despite the problem reaching near-epidemic proportions in the capital and in several areas of the country, authorities have seemingly not woken up to the magnitude of the threat even now.
