Kashmir youth sues Barfi! film makers - NewsX

Anurag Basu's 'Barfi' may be making sweet success story but bitter controversy seems to trail the movie again. Even as the film is winning accolades and is the country's official entry at the Oscars, it has left a Kashmir valley youth bitter and livid. 34-year-old Majid Yousuf Dar who is a sports manager with the state's leading Jammu and Kashmir, claims the movie has used his picture without permission. Majid alleges that the film portrayed him in a bad light by showing him as a bank robber. Dar, a resident of Srinagar's Dalgate area, says he was flooded with phone calls from friends in Mumbai and Delhi immediately after the release of the film last month.
