Gun battle continues to rage in Kashmir's Sopore area for a second day today. A CRPF personnel suffered injuries, while security forces sustained their efforts to nab the terrorists holed up in the area. Eight houses are under cordon and intermittent firing is on. The encounter commenced on Saturday, after a joint party of forces comprising 22 Rashtriya Rifles, Special Operation Group of Police and CRPF columns cordoned off Shallpore in old Sopore town and launched searches. The terrorists there opened fire triggering an encounter.
