Here on NewsX@9 we debate the Congress' strategy for 2014 polls. A party that has constantly been under fire for corruption, hiking prices of diesel and urea and ineffective governance is looking to turn a new leaf in its history. The 2014 polls are not too far off, some would argue that polls may happen next year itself with that in mind the party is looking for a change of leadership. The Sunday Guardian is reporting that the contest we are all looking forward to in 2014 won't happen! The newspaper is reporting that Rahul Gandhi won't be the Congress Prime Ministerial candidate in the upcoming elections whenever they are. According to the Sunday Guardian, Rahul is more keen to follow his mother than his grandmother. It's the Congress Party where Rahul's heart is and like his mother he wants to become Congress President. But what are the alternatives? Rahul's name was being touted for quite some time as the next big hope of the party and many a leader had said that he is fit to be Prime Minister. So, if Rahul is not going to be the Cong's Prime Ministerial candidate, then who? Well, the Sunday Guardian in its special report suggests it could be Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde! Watch this NewsX debate special show on Congress' PM candidate for 2014 polls.
