PM unhappy with Zardari raising Kashmir issue at UNGA - NewsX

According to sources, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has refused to visit Islamabad in the near future. PM has taken exception to Pakitan's raking up Kashmir in the UN General Assembly. Speaking at the UNGA only last week, Pakistan president, Asif Ali Zardari had termed Kashmir as symbolic of the UN's failure. India had taken strong exception to the remark. The latest marks a new chill in Indo-pak relations. But analysts also point out that by raking up Kashmir, Presiden Zardari may be only deflecting heat directed against him in recent times. The embattled Zardari, engaged in a face-off with the judiciary is also facing flak for a worsening economy, and increasing domestic unemployment. By targeting India, many say Zardari is only deflecting criticism.
